What is Astrology?
The study of the influence the stars and planets play in the human experience. The position of the planets degrees, and more will tell a story of the individual being birthed into this realm. This also includes the movement of universal energy as a whole.
When reading your astrology chart there are many aspects to consider such as time of birth, houses, ley lines, etc. Many regard the pathway of life from their Astrology chart and Zodiac signs as their absolute. Yes, there is a script and a story told in the stars. Does this mean your personal choices have been stripped? There is so much depth involved with comprehending your astrological chart and how it unravels in your reality. Be very aware that the stars do not define you but is there as more of a guideline. I’ll explain more of this as I progress through.
Many individuals rely on the information being provided through the stars in order to navigate life. Reading and comprehending what is to come is extremely beneficial, but this can become lost in translation very quickly. What I mean by that is: relying on anything outside the self in order to feel whole is a mistake. Identifying and allowing something outside of self to define your experience is a very easy trap to fall into. It takes a conscious awareness and a gnosis within to be able to observe and utilize information intelligently without becoming identified with it.
If one was to put zero effort towards personal development, self-contemplation, and ways to optimize the human experience- one could say that is exactly what their soul came here to experience. You would be able to see this in their chart. From my own observation and internal studies what I have found is that the aspects tied into my astrology chart are, as I stated before, more of a guideline as opposed to the ultimatum. When you begin to embrace your suffering in the knowing of what it serves, and offer your vessel to serve the divine, this begins to heal the fragmented aspects of self. You can utilize your astrology chart to see if there is an angle you have yet to observe and see your overall progression.
What is in the Astrology Chart?
Diving into astrology is very complex. Most people prefer the cookie cutter version of the horoscope readings that used to be in the back of the daily newspaper. As fun as horoscopes can be, this conversation is much deeper and becomes esoteric very quickly. If you are interested in diving into who you are and why you are experience this particular lifetime, I recommend looking a bit closer to what is involved with your astrology chart.
Based on the Gregorian calendar, there is a 12 month per year cycle. For each month there are what we call Zodiac signs and Houses. Throughout the astrological chart, there are planets which influence the energy of the houses and signs. There are degrees around the chart which impact the flow of energy from one sign to another. Each Zodiac sign also has an element assigned to it, and a ruling planet.

I recommend taking it in little bits at a time. There is the standard Sun, Moon, and Rising based on your time and place of birth. There are many types of astrology styles such as Heliocentric, Sidereal, Tropical, and more. I started with my Natal chart to review the overall patterns of myself and followed my intuition from there. There are many layers and patterns that influence one another. For example, the degree in which you are closer or farther to another zodiac sign will show influence of that type of sign in your persona. Your Zodiac sign is also influence by the current month and the year you are in. Certain attributes are going to be either enhanced or muted. When it comes down to it, we are all of the Zodiac signs. Being aware of the building blocks within your astrological chart and knowing how to maneuver through life consciously in this way is only going to help optimize your overall experience. This is ever changing, and it’s all opportunities for growth. Having awareness of the system and being able to comprehend the story it is telling can support inquiring minds and hearts.
Remember when you are looking into your signs, planets, nodes and such- be aware of blame and identification. It is very easy to play the blame game, and that is the usual reaction to uncomfortable situations. At any point throughout your life when this does occur, take note of it and meditate on it later or in that very moment. In order to expand the consciousness and awareness within the self to what is, when you are faced with a situation that causes resistance within the body- look at it. Observe it all as it is happening, the desire to remove yourself, the desire to blame, the desire to run, etc. Allow yourself to be in that space with grace, love, and compassion.
We are here to expand and remember the unity of all that is. Therefore, all that is occurring inside of you at every moment is connected to the expansion and contraction of others as well. Looking into the astrology chart for yourself, loved ones, and more can help you navigate throughout life. Remember to use this as a guideline and stay in your heart space in acute observation. Enjoy all the moments, and gratitude for all things.
